Media Center Madness....
Welcome back to CES! The first 9 weeks we are learning about: letters, numbers, library & computer rules, how to take care of books, 9-11-2001, Hurricanes, Johnny Appleseed, Tall Tales, and so much more! We are also practicing accountable talk and reading with a purpose. 1st through 4th grade students are allowed to check out one book at a time. Books are due within a two week period. They are able to come in during the day and check books in and out. Lost or damaged books cost $10.00. Kindergarten will start bringing books home in January.
AR
Accelerated Reading is up and running! Please remember AR tests are taken at school, not at home. Any tests taken outside of CES will be deleted. Students are allowed to test throughout the day in the library, computer lab, and classroom. AR Celebrations will be held each 9 week period.
Book Fair
Our first book fair will take place November 13-17!
